REIA NYC Education/PHP Committee
Committee will to be a “liaison” to the National PHP committee. This person’s duties will include assigning credit to particular meetings, seminars, or courses taught by the local association, keeping track of attendance of the PHP candidates, making available the necessary forms to candidates, handling any local publicity about the program, and making any problems, comments or concerns about the program known to the National PHP committee. National events will have pre-assigned PHP hours.
REQUIREMENT:
· Must be an active paid member of REIA NYC,
· Must be available for monthly meetings &/or teleconferences with chapter and National REIA, and
· Must attend the “National Mid-Year Leadership Conference” in each June of the calendar year
REIA NYC Legislative Committee
Provides Government Affairs/Lobbying at MSA/Municipality Level. The objective of this committee is to help the organization grow stronger and more effective in the areas of creating, promoting and debating legislative issues that will affect the industry at all levels (local, regional, state, and ) through leadership training, and education in the areas of legislative Issues.
REQUIREMENT:
· Must be an active paid member of REIA NYC,
· Must be available for monthly meetings, teleconferences and/or council/legislative hearings & conferences, and
· Must attend the “Investor Summit & Day on the Hill Summit” in each April of the calendar year:
o Meet face to face with your representatives and teach them the importance of real estate investing to the nation’s economy.
o Hear first-hand updates from Washington insiders about the current state of politics and why it is imperative to be involved, NOW more than ever.
o Learn the key issues facing real estate investors, and how to conduct effective meetings with your local, state, and national representatives.
o Explore legislative trends around the nation as you network with other real estate investors from all over the country.
o Meet with key Industry Partners and learn how to collectively impact legislative and regulatory change.
o Discuss Real Estate Investing with Industry Partners to help them better serve you.
Business Associate/Vendor Program Committee
Business Associate/Vendor Program Committee has the responsibility of recruiting, relationship building and managing the accounts with our business associate and vendor membership. Our business associates/vendors have access to a fast growing membership of individuals focused on investing in real estate. This is a built-in audience of people that have a need of their services and as such, this committee has the responsibility of performing the requisite vetting of these individuals.
